(About Hans) Hans Bjerno is a Canadian-American Director and Director of Photography with a deep background in action, aerial, automotive, and VFX-heavy filmmaking. Known for his technical skill and calm presence on set, he is trusted to capture complex, fast-moving sequences without losing the emotional thread of a story. Hans started out shooting live sports and commercials, where he learned to move quickly, adapt to the unexpected, and tell stories through instinct as much as planning. That early experience taught him how to balance precision with flexibility, skills that became even sharper as he moved into feature films and large-scale productions. With over 200 major features to his name, he has worked alongside legendary directors like Christopher Nolan, Michael Bay, Martin Scorsese, and Clint Eastwood. His reputation for precision, creative problem-solving, and steady leadership has made him a preferred collaborator on projects like Inception, The Dark Knight Rises, Dunkirk, Transformers, Fast & Furious, Deadpool 2, and many more.

Today, Hans brings the same discipline and openness to his work as a director. Whether the job calls for carefully choreographed action, complex aerial work, or effects-driven scenes, he focuses on keeping the visuals grounded in the story rather than in spectacle alone. His approach is shaped by a respect for craft, collaboration, and the natural rhythm of a production. Hans is as comfortable orchestrating large technical setups as he is capturing smaller, more intimate moments, always working to serve the energy and authenticity of the piece.
