Tom
Brown
Blending surreal comedy with a punk sensibility, he crafts ultra-stylish, VFX-charged bursts of ad magic.

(About Tom) From the outside, Tom Brown is a mild-mannered Brit with encyclopedic film knowledge and a love of strange stories. But under the alias 2dtom, he has dived between the atoms of McVitie's chocolate biscuits, sent flaming Takis shockwaves through Super Bowl parties, twisted time with Neymar, and hurled kids through the skies of Lego universes. Using his VFX background and a misspent youth of midnight movies, extreme animation, and punk zines, Tom takes his influences, kicks them into a screaming paste, and serves them up as ultra-stylish bite-sized packages of ad magic. His work pulls from a deep love of both the ridiculous and the cinematic, blending sharp visual instincts with a restless sense of invention that keeps each project feeling fresh and unexpected.
His work is meticulous, intensely giffable, and built for the wilds of the internet, bringing a mastery of surreal comedy, otherworldly imagery, and precision camerawork to everything from celebrity spots to food porn. Whether designing impossible physics for a snack brand or creating playful chaos for a global campaign, Tom finds the balance between chaos and craft. If he was not a director, he would probably be a professional dungeon master or the guy inside the Godzilla suit. He lives by the ocean and still believes that movies should feel a little dangerous.
