Freshman is proud to welcome French-Canadian Comedy Director Louis-David Jutras after signing with the company for Commercial representation in both Canada and the United States. Known for his unique ability to craft humorous, sharp, and memorable narratives, Jutras is a fantastic addition to Freshman’s roster of visionary talent.
After honing his comedic craft at the National School of Humor in Montreal, Jutras developed his signature style of blending everyday scenarios with smart, relatable humor. His training laid the foundation for his future success, allowing him to create work that resonates with diverse audiences while maintaining a distinctly comedic edge.
Since beginning his career, Jutras has written and directed four web series, all of which were nominated for the prestigious Gémeaux Awards. One of these series won the award for Best Digital Series in the Humor-Variety category. From there, he earned four Olivier Award nominations including Best Comedic Clip of the Year. With over 70 million views across his web projects alone, Jutras has proven his ability to captivate audiences on a grand scale. This year, Jutras gained critical acclaim on an international stage after his campaign “Sans Émission” for Volkswagen Canada, won both a Grand Clio and a Silver Media Lion at Cannes, among many other highly recognized awards.
